How it all began
My Mother had a necklace I broke when I was 18 months old, it was a very precious necklace with hand made blue glass beads that my grandmother had bought her, it never got mended and languished in a drawer. So when I was making jewellery, the beads came to me, I gathered some other beads that were of sentimental relevance and made a lariette. My Mum was thrilled. She loved it and so did her friends. Soon I was being given beads and buttons from bridesmaid dresses, wedding outfits, heirloom pearls, all have been transformed into versatile jewellery that has some meaning and sentimentality to the wearer.
